Art wednesday... a day late

I actually made this yesterday, but I left it on my work computer. I decided that I need to work on my faux tintype skilz, so here's my first real test. The flower picture is just layered on top of a real tintype (with the original portrait removed). I'm not so crazy about the flower picture that I used - it's too washed out - but it's at least the tintype version is more interesting then the original. I'll have tweak my background a bit more and then try it with a person next.

Oooh, nice. I'd never heard of "tintype" before. I meant to try "Art Wednesday" but totally forgot. Reading your journal is kinda like an "Intro to Art" class. :-)
