buckles!

I got my jeweled buckles in the mail yesterday, and they are gorgeous! I am guessing that they are Victorian instead of Georgan buckles... but that is probably a good thing because I would be too nervous to wear them if they were the real deal. Anyway, they are definitely silver and high quality, but I don't think the stones have the black spots that they are supposed to have if they were really old. (I'm still not exactly sure what I should be looking for with that one, but I'm assuming it would be fairly obvious if it was there.)

Here's a picture of the buckles with my fabric for the dress and shoes. I am beyond thrilled. :)

Thanks! And yeah, that picture cracks me up too. His tongue has been out CONSTANTLY for the past week or so, and he keeps licking everything and everybody. It's like he just discovered that he has a tongue! What a goofus! :)

My mom used to get so upset when we used to let our kids lick things, but we just sort of thought; you know, I know what cement tastes like, and carpet, and rubber, etc. I haven't put any of that stuff near my mouth recently, so that memory is coming from somewhere....... I think kids are building a sense memory when they lick things.

*disclaimer* we obviously didn't let them lick dangerous or poisonous things.

See now, he could be exercising the "cupcake law of the universe", where by if you lick it, it's yours... Of course if he isn't, I wouldn't tell him about this just yet.
